Application of a well head

To seal the wellhead, a cap is used. In this case, the outside diameter of the casing pipe must correspond to 110mm, 125mm, 140mm or 160mm. It is also necessary to install a pump, a cable with a round cross-section in a sheath and a polyethylene pressure pipe with a diameter of 32mm or 40mm.

Benefits of using a head

  •  The well is protected from the ingress of surface groundwater, as well as other foreign elements.

  •  When the pump is operating, the flow rate of sand wells that are located at shallow depths increases.

  •  The possibility of equipment theft is minimized.

  •  The level of reliability of pump suspension increases.

  •  The technical well becomes easier during operation.

Head installation

Before installing the head, it is recommended to trim the casing pipe evenly. Next, you need to take care of removing burrs in the place where the cut occurred. Then you need to clean the pipe from the outer edge.

According to the instructions, you need to prepare the pump for lowering into the well, namely, connect a plastic pipe, rope, cable and secure all elements with bolts.

The part of the cable that remains outside must be connected to the head carabiner. Next, you need to thread the pressure pipe along with the cable through the top of the head, attaching the carabiner to the eye bolt located below.

The next step is to slide the flat face of the flange with the rubber ring up onto the casing.

Then you need to lower the pump and attach the head cover to the pipe, while lifting the rubber ring and flange to the top of the head. The flange and the head cover must be bolted together so that the rubber ring located between these two elements is compressed.

It is important to pay attention to the cables – to prevent them from hanging, you need to use cable glands. Using them, you need to tighten the pressure pipe, securing it with a collet clamp.

Advantages of installing a polypropylene head

  •  Installation of the head does not involve the use of welding, because the installation is based on fastening with bolts, which are designed to compress the rubber sealing ring located between the top of the equipment and the flange.

  •  When installing the polypropylene head, you can lower the pump using a winch, crane or any other mechanisms, grasping the eye bolts from above, in the cover of the product.

  •  Installation of the cable is ensured by a carabiner, which is suspended from the eye bolt from below.
